Westin Ranch Bike Path
This Public Art project involved creating a design that could be replicated, a modular unit. The organic, fluid lines found naturally at the site, two locations along the Westin Ranch Bike Path, suggested similar lines that characterize Art Nouveau design. My pattern was repeated using a recycled rubber material to create 20 individual panels. These are heated to a temperature that will fuse the image to the asphalt bike path making the pattern integral to the asphalt surface itself. This process is called StreetPrint. Many thanks to the crew at Biondi Paving for doing the installation.
